How to Connect Telegram to Your CRM
Connecting Telegram to your CRM lets you receive messages from the messenger right inside your MyInboxify account — alongside your other channels, in one window. In this guide you’ll create a bot in @BotFather, get its Bot Token and connect Telegram to the CRM in a couple of minutes. The channel can be connected by the company Owner — the Settings section is available only to them.
What you’ll need
- Owner access to your MyInboxify account.
- A Telegram account so you can open @BotFather and create a bot.
Step 1. Create a bot in @BotFather
A bot is your company’s “representative” in Telegram: customers message it, and their messages land in the CRM. The bot token is issued by the official @BotFather service.
- Open the chat with @BotFather in Telegram.
- Send the /newbot command.
- Set the bot’s name, following the prompts.
- Copy the Bot Token you receive — a string that looks like 123456789:AA….
⚠️ The Bot Token is the access key to your bot. Don’t publish it or share it with anyone. If the token leaks, send @BotFather the reset command and connect a new one.
Step 2. Connect Telegram in the CRM
Now add the bot to your account. All channels in MyInboxify are connected in the Settings section.
- Open Settings → the Telegram section.
- Click ➕ Add Telegram.
- Paste the copied Bot Token into the token field.
- Click Connect.
Once connected, the channel card will show the ● Connected status and your bot’s @username. Message the bot in Telegram — your message will appear in the Inbox section. From there it’s convenient to handle messages from all channels in a single lead window.
Auto-reply (optional)
In the channel settings you can enable an auto-reply: tick the box and enter the text. This message is sent automatically to the customer in the messenger on their first contact — for example, “Thanks, we’ve already seen your question and will reply soon.”
Telegram supergroup (for your team)
You can also link a Telegram supergroup (topics): enter the group chat id (in the -100… format), and every new lead will be created as a separate topic in your team’s working group. This is handy if your team discusses inquiries right in Telegram.
