How to Capture Leads From a Website Form

01.07.2026

A website lead form is the simplest way to collect enquiries from a landing page or online store: a visitor leaves their name, phone, e-mail and message, and the lead lands straight in the single MyInboxify window next to messages from messengers. In this article you’ll connect a website form to the CRM, paste the ready-made HTML code onto your page, protect it from spam and enable an email auto-reply. Only the Company owner can set this up.

What you’ll need

  • Company owner access (the Settings section is available to the owner only).
  • Access to your website’s code or builder, where you can insert an HTML block.
  • Optionally — captcha keys (Cloudflare Turnstile, hCaptcha or Google reCAPTCHA) and SMTP details if you need an email auto-reply.

How to add a website lead form

  1. Open Settings → the Website forms section.
  2. Click ➕ Add form.
  3. Copy the form URL (form action URL) and the ready-made HTML code of the form.
  4. Paste the HTML code onto the page you want — in a builder as an “HTML/code” block or straight into the markup. The code already contains the fields: name, phone, e-mail, message, plus hidden fields for spam protection and UTM tags.
  5. In the form settings, set a name (label) so you can tell leads apart if you have several forms.
  6. In the allowed_origins field, specify your website’s domains — leads will only be accepted from those addresses.
  7. If needed, enable a captcha: choose None, Cloudflare Turnstile, hCaptcha or Google reCAPTCHA and paste the secret key.
  8. Save the settings and send a test lead from your website — it should appear in the Inbox.

💡 Tip: specify the exact website domains in the allowed_origins field. That way the form can’t be used from other people’s pages, and no extra spam gets into the CRM.

Email auto-reply

If a visitor left an e-mail, MyInboxify can automatically send them a confirmation message that the lead has been received. To do this, enable the email auto-reply in the form settings and fill in the SMTP parameters: host, port, secure, user and pass — your email provider issues these. Then enter the text of the message. The auto-reply is only sent to those who provided an email address.

⚠️ Check the SMTP details before publishing: an incorrect host, port or password will mean the auto-reply messages won’t be sent, although the leads themselves will still reach the CRM.

A form isn’t the only way to collect enquiries from your website. If you need a real-time conversation, add an online chat for your website. And all leads from the form are convenient to handle in the single inbox window together with messages from messengers.

FAQ

Do I need a developer to set up the form?

No. Just copy the ready-made HTML code from the Website form section and paste it onto the page — manually into the markup or as an HTML block in your website builder.

How do I protect the form from spam?

Specify your website domains in the allowed_origins field and, if needed, enable a captcha — Cloudflare Turnstile, hCaptcha or Google reCAPTCHA — with a secret key. The form code also has hidden anti-spam fields.

Will the customer get a confirmation of the lead?

Yes, if they left an e-mail and you enabled the auto-reply with SMTP settings. In that case they’ll receive an email saying the lead has been received.
